Primary Simulation, Inc. (PSI) has been a leader in real-time SIMULATION since 1988.

Our business was mainly on software and simulation model development and services for nuclear power plant training simulators. We started to diversify our business in 1995 into other software and notebook PC related business.

We now offer our XCAST, a Unix-based simulation supporting package with GUI, to engineering professionals & schools. This system has been implemented in a couple of nuclear plant simulators. It can also be employed to support simulation modeling in other engineering fields. As a matter of fact, XCAST has been utilized in petrochemical simulation in some universities and institutes. XCAST will revolutionize engineering programming and the way of teaching engineering programming.

Our other simulation models include the state-of-the-art MACK-2G (two-group core neutronic simulation model) and TPFN (two-phase flow networks model) for nuclear plants. These models have also been successfully implemented in a number of simulators to help train nuclear plant personnel to operate their plants safely and efficiently.

Our UNIX PC-based P-CAT (PWR Core And Thermohydraulics) Plant Analyzer, which is an ensemble of MACK-2G and TPFN models plus XCAST simulation supporting system, has been ready for demonstration. A number of software drivers and controllers have been implemented to mimic the BOP and control systems. Currently, our Plant Analyzers have two PWR configurations, a 2-loop plant and a 4-loop plant.
